QGIS India Community Day (March 2026) ¶

When: 20 March 2026, 7-8pm IST

Where: Online

The QGIS India User Group held its first monthly community meeting, featuring updates on QGIS 4.0 release and tutorials on custom map design using OSM vector tiles and layer sorting with Python. We discussed the status of our efforts to translate QField across 22 Indian languages, and proposal for establishing student chapters to help with localization efforts.

Indian Women in GIS – Women’s Day Event ¶

Where: Online

We celebrated International Women’s Day with a special Indian Women in GIS event. Speakers presented on topics including QGIS documentation with Git, GIS for archaeology and urban planning, storytelling with QGIS, and a fun word-search game!
